Meet Wayne McCutcheon, Class of 1977!
Currently Retired, former University of Alberta-Manager of Landscape Design, Construction and Maintenance.
“My greatest joy was improving the urban forest on main campus and providing outdoor spaces for students and staff to gather and enjoy the quiet of nature and campus life.”
Q: How would you describe your experience entering the industry after graduation?
A: Having alumni already employed with the City of Edmonton provided a smoother transition from student to employee.
Q: What challenges have you faced and overcome in your career after graduation?
A: Dealing with budget restrictions, challenging employees and unreasonable demands from University administration.
Q: What is a fond memory from your days at the gardens?
“Always enjoyed picking and eating fruit from our orchard.”
