April 2024 Message from the President

  • Categories Alumni Updates
  • Date April 9, 2024

Dear Fellow Graduates,

As we embrace the early arrival of spring, my reflections inevitably turn to the wealth of knowledge and experience gained during our time at the School of Horticulture. The journey of learning and growth we embarked upon together serves as a reminder of the indispensable value of our alma mater.

I wish to underscore the significance of joining the Alumni Association. While there may have been moments in our careers where membership lapsed for various reasons, I have always found my way back, recognizing the enduring connection and support it provides. I encourage those who have yet to make this commitment to consider the profound impact your membership can have in furthering the exceptional work the Alumni Association strives to accomplish.

Behind the scenes, the dedicated Alumni and Foundation Boards are diligently planning a homecoming event to be held at the School of Horticulture in late August. This gathering presents a unique opportunity to reconnect with the picturesque grounds, reunite with fellow graduates, and extend the festive spirit to our families. Further details regarding this event will be shared by both the Foundation and the Alumni Association in the coming weeks.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24, and make a note to join us for what promises to be a memorable and enriching occasion. I eagerly anticipate the chance to reunite with each of you on this special day. Until then, I extend my warmest wishes for a safe, joyful, and rejuvenating summer season.

With warm regards,

Rowland Cave-Browne-Cave,
Alumni Association President
