Mark Andrew Galloway Obituary
“Niagara Falls, Ontario – Mark Andrew Galloway died peacefully on July 11, 2025, in his 72nd year after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mark leaves behind his two beloved daughters, Nicole and Karen (Bill), who were the light of his life and of whom he was immensely proud. He was loved by his three adoring grandchildren, Jackson, Brayden, and Chloe, who will deeply miss their “Gramps” warmth and playful spirit.
Mark will be fondly remembered by his brother, Carl (Sandy), his sister, Ada (the late Robert), and his nieces, Rielle, Kirstin (Brett), and Alexandra. He was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Oda Galloway.
Mark will be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends, and will always be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need.
He dedicated over 40 years of service to Gauld Nurseries, where he took immense pride in his work. Outside of work, Mark cherished his annual trips to “Totem” on Lake of Bays, where he created countless treasured memories with family.
Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a later date.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague, Mark Galloway. Mark was a spirited, loyal, and knowledgeable employee of Gauld Nurseries for over 40 years. He will be missed by the Gauld Family, his co-workers, and clients. Mark was a graduate of the School of Horticulture (1976). He shared his passion and knowledge to countless students throughout the years. More recently, he helped to guide and train the fourth generation of family members starting their careers in the family business. His legacy will live on in the lives and landscapes he touched. A memorial tree will be planted in his honour at Fireman’s Park.”
