Ridley College

Ridley College is located on 90 acres in St. Catharines, Ontario in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula and is comprised of a stunning blend of century old buildings housing modernized technology.

We have opportunities for a Seasonal Grounds Co-op to work with our Grounds department. This posting is an existing vacancy for the term of April 6, 2026 – October 30, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • maintains gardens and turf areas, including: weeding, pruning, watering, cultivating, mowing and power trimming;
  • plants gardens (flowers, shrubs and trees), sodding or seeding turf areas;
  • repairs hardscape areas (walkways and roadways);
  • garbage removal as per schedule;
  • assists with irrigation repairs and minor installs;
  • weather depending, snow removal is a possibility;

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • must enjoy working outdoors;
  • a valid driver’s license;
  • capability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, complete repetitive tasks and pay attention to detail;
  • able to work independently and in a team environment;
  • keeps safety as a number one priority in all activities;
  • good communication skills;
  • a horticultural background would be an asset;
  • experience operating small equipment would be an asset;
