Important Update Regarding Friday Events:

Please note it saddens us that after much discussion and consideration that we have been forced to Cancel the Alumni Association of the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture Foundation’s Annual Alumni Golf Tournament, Banquet and the Friday Evening Social. If You have registered and purchased a ticket or tickets please be aware that we will be sending You an email over the next few days concerning next Steps.  Our sincerest Apologies.  We have been busy since November planning this Event.

The Alumni Association and Foundation will be hosting an Alumni social gathering in Niagara Falls, ON.

  • 9 am – 10:30 am Student Breakfast Fundraiser, New Lecture Hall- (Cash Donations Welcome onsite)
  • 10:30 am – 11:30 am Official Opening of the Recognition Garden (free)
  • 11:45 am – 1 pm Tree Dedications – multiple locations – (free)
  • 1 pm – 2:30 pm* Homecoming Lunch, Vegetable Garden Lawn – (20$ cash payable onsite)
  • 2:30 pm – 4 pm Student Led Tours (free)

FRIDAY TICKETS

Additional Info:

The Alumni Foundation is using a new platform (designed for not-for-profit fundraising initiatives) for the purchase of the Friday Event Tickets! All the tickets are listed below with links to the other platform.

Friday – Concurrent Sessions
12:40 pm – 4:15 pm* Departing from the Butterfly Conservatory guests will be taken by Bus to the Niagara Parks Power Station to explore the Tunnel on a 90 minute tour. Afterwards the Bus will bring guests back to the Butterfly Conservatory for another guided tour. Tours concluded by 4 pm Funds go towards supporting Student Awards, Bursaries, and Scholarships. Friday – Alumni Dinner
6 pm – 9:00 pm* Please Join Us for a casual dinner spent together with fellow Alumni. The dinner will be held at Queen Victoria Place Restaurant, but any interested parties are required to arrange a reservation with Foundation President Michael McClellan by September 9th. You can reach him via email mcclellanmichael58@gmail.com. Please arrive at the restaurant for 6/6:30 pm. If you are planning on attending after work, try to arrive no later than 8 pm, as the restaurant closes at 9 pm. All costs covered by individual attendees. No reservation fee.
Some of these Awards have been in place since the formation of the Alumni Association and as a result over time are in danger of becoming “Unfunded.”  Your Donation will allow us to continue providing these valued Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards, and hopefully allow us to increase the monetary value to meet today’s needs
